Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the WordLoom mobile application (the "App"), provided by WordLoom ("we," "our," or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you must have your parent or legal guardian's permission to use the App.
2. Account & Authentication
Certain features of the App, including cloud sync and leaderboards, require you to sign in with a Google account or Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
3. Use of the App
3.1 License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on your personal device for non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.
3.2 Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Use automated scripts, bots, or cheating tools to manipulate game data, scores, or leaderboards
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our servers or other users' data
- Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Submit false or misleading information to leaderboards or community features
3.3 Content Ownership
All puzzles, word lists, graphics, themes, sounds, and other content within the App are owned by WordLoom or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any App content without our written permission.
4. In-App Purchases
4.1 Premium Features
The App offers optional premium features available through in-app purchases, including hint packs and a lifetime unlock. These purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on your platform, and are subject to the respective store's terms and refund policies.
4.2 Pricing
Prices for in-app purchases are displayed in the App and may vary by region and platform. We reserve the right to change pricing at any time. Price changes do not affect previously completed purchases.
4.3 Refunds
Refund requests are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play in accordance with their respective refund policies. We cannot process refunds directly. To request a refund:

- Android: Visit the Google Play Store order history
4.4 Subscriptions
WordLoom does not currently offer subscription-based purchases. All in-app purchases are one-time, non-consumable (lifetime unlock) or consumable (hint packs).
5. Cloud Sync & Data
When signed in with Google or Apple, your game progress is synced to Cloud Firestore. While we take reasonable measures to protect and preserve your data, we are not liable for data loss resulting from service outages, device failures, or circumstances beyond our control. We recommend signing in to enable cloud backup.
6. Leaderboards & Community
Leaderboard rankings are calculated based on legitimate gameplay. We reserve the right to remove or reset scores, ban accounts, or take other action against users who manipulate leaderboards, exploit bugs, or engage in unsportsmanlike conduct.
7. Availability & Updates
We strive to keep the App available and up to date, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation.
8. Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR UNINTERRUPTED.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WORDLOOM SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless WordLoom and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
11. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. Upon termination, your license to use the App is immediately revoked.
12. Apple App Store Additional Terms
If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply:
- These Terms are between you and WordLoom only, and not with Apple. WordLoom, not Apple, is solely responsible for the App and its content.
- Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to the App.
- In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the App. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App.
- Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the App or your possession and/or use of the App.
- In the event of any third-party claim that the App infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, WordLoom, not Apple, is solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any such claim.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
- You represent and warrant that: (i) you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country; and (ii) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.
14. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date above. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
